Jace Weaver is associate professor of religion and law at the University of Georgia, specializing in Native American studies. He is the author or editor of nine books, including Defending Mother Earth: Native American Perspectives on Environmental Justice. He has lectured widely on environmental ethics. He is a former member of the White House Conference on Handicapped Individuals.
